Unfortunate that so much US political media is committed to ignorance, credulity, and obsequiousness, because the response to Trump saying Iran has tomahawks should’ve been incessant questioning like “how did you let that happen?,” “did you authorize sales?,” and “who are you holding accountable?”

It was always a political appointment. What else could it be? Bari Weiss did not qualify for the job of running CBS News, except ideologically. Her appointment as Editor-in-Chief thus required conflict with the newsroom. Scott Macfarlane, I think, saw all of this, and drew the obvious conculsions.
