Hoping to get to that phase by April!! π
One of the many resolutions Iβm throwing at the wall to see if it sticks is picking up the house for 15 minutes when I get home.
Itβs been really effective! But now itβs moved to the βdo I throw this out or not?β phase which is significantly more work than just putting my shoes in the closetβ¦
New year, same push. Both the Missouri House and Senate heard legislation today that would place control of the STL Police under a gov-appointed board.

Amazing characters that were so relatable and lovable - book flew by despite the number of pages.
This may be the book that finally gets me into historical fiction. Deserves every nice thing said about it!

Book One of the year: My Year of Rest and Relaxation.
Have never before had the experience of really enjoying a book and having the very last page just ruin all the goodwill I had towards it. Fucking wild. Could not believe that ending in a bad way!

Also - I *am* going to make my modest reading goal of 24 books this year damnit. Using StoryGraph as my tracker and am going to post here to hold myself accountable.
All of this snow and ice just puts me in hibernate mode. I canβt leave my house? Oh darn. Looks like Iβm eating soup, baking bread and making a dent in my to-read pile.
Along with @sarahkellogg.bsky.social and @jasonrosenbaum.bsky.social, we did an exit interview today with Gov. Mike Parson in his office at the Missouri State Capitol.
You actually had my old account! I cannot for the life of me login to it anymore π
ANYway Iβm making a spiced maple syrup! Weβll see how it turns out!
Is it really the holidays unless you try a completely new recipe just for kicks? No? Thatβs a me thing?

Time to add some new books to my never ending to-read pile! π
The Missouri legislature passed a huge education bill this year, and we're looking to talk with teachers about their thoughts about what's in it β including how it will personally affect their jobs.

Went *peak fall* yesterday in that I:
- Made corn chowder

- Watched Fantastic Mr. Fox while drinking hot cider ππ¦
So - somehow my old bluesky account isnβt attached to my email? So letβs *try this again!*
