From what I’ve gathered, Ellroy wrote another LA trilogy, but set in the 40s and part of it is the Dudley origin story. I’ve also head mixed reviews, so I’m unsure if I’ll tackle it.

I’m about 1/2 way done with White Jazz, and the Quartet is still as good as I remember. Honestly, maybe better. This is the first time I’ve read it straight through, and there are so many connections between the four novels.
