My thoughts strayed to destiny lore very briefly and how guardians have died in gambit and man I can't imagine what it must feel like to experience your final death over fucking gambit

I've seen discussion on the chance to hit thing where if we wanted to still lean into the actiony feel of the newer games they could visually communicate missed hits with opponents doing little dodges or sparks fly as an attack bounces off armor. I feel like it could work

The core of the issue to me is this idea that it needs to be replaced in some way while there's little discussion of how to maybe touch up the core identity or expand on its design space
