Yeah, even if *pokemon hope* is somewhat of a welcome and unexpected return, I'll stay cautious until the next trailers / mechanics at the very least...
Btw we have to hang out on Pokopia ๐๏ธ๐๏ธ

- but the project is still growing. I really hope to bring some updates on this but it will probably need some more time!
Sorry for the late reply! Sadly it is not atm, selected articles are made available on their site periodically!
I have to say that this one specifically is somewhat higher in technical writing so it might be difficult to translate. They are planning eng as well -

I am so hyped for Pokopia (Dragon Quest Builders 2 my beloved), but I have to say that Winds and Waves also look so promising... is this the pokemon renaissance? Probably just time + support would do the trick (Koei Tecmo appearently did wonders for Pokopia, maybe something in-Nintendo for WiWa?)
Yes! They will be available soon!
Yooooo Rhoq!! So glad to find you here, on the "nice side" of the web!! Thank you so much as always ;_;
Oh, Elle, I have some good news: this asset pack will be available for free with a tip / "name your price" kind of thing, but I would love for you to just pick it up and have fun, after all these years of your continued support for my work it'sthe very least! ๐ฅน
Hehehe tysm Elle! I was specifically thinking about an entire asset pack based on "stuff I feel nostalgic for". So old italian cars and not so-italian radio towers and power poles came to mind. :'P
I've reached a phase of my life at which I am nostalgic for stuff I never experienced myself I guess!
A top down screen showing an elctric tower on a hill, by some train rails. A house with a parked, old looking green car is also seen. To the north, a beach, while to the south a river with some bridges can be seen!

Silver and Gold - Full
Happy 30th Pokemon!
Yesss please do!! I think this set of starters with their overall simple and immediate appearence are incredibly fun to work within retro stiles!
I got filled with PIXEL DETERMINATION thanks to a not-really-expected hype surge for pokemon.
Living this ten-year high pokemon fever like it's 2015 pre-Alola! :'P
A very quickly done #pixelart of Pombon, the new Fire-type starter for Pokemon Winds/Waves
POMBON
YESSSSSS JD YESSSSSSSSS
I saw these earlier this morning on IG, spammed the spammable and I'm going to do that here as well and you will NOT stop me. ๐ซดโจ๏ธ๐๐งก๐

Pokemon Winds and Waves Starters in a DS Style! Does anyone else miss the Pixel era? ๐๐ฅ๐ง

Yes!! I love Alola's pokemon and characters, but the game felt a tado linear and slow for me, but it's the last generation I felt truly in love with! I liked Legends Z-A but I felt such a dire need for nature and exploration throughout the game.. but it's tropics time now (I also LOVE hoenn ๐)!
YESSS I also saw underwater exploration so this game is already checking so many happy boxes that have been left untouched for far too long. It's the first time since Alola's reveal that I feel like I'm back on the pokemon hype train. ;_;
YESS JD PLEASE DOOO
which one will is your fave atm??
Heheheh which ones will you be picking? I am kind of leaning towards Gecqua but I,have to say that Pombon is incredible and I really feel like Browt is really promising evolution-wise... i usually go for water or grass types but I might pick Pombon for a change!
(I will decide on evolution probably)
Hehehe I really like to use two different hues on retro sprites so I went with the blue and the violet from the eyes rather than two shades of blue! I used the white instead of light blue, but I really liked the effect more than monochrome!
Thank youu!! I have to say that this time I did not really go for anything too imahinative pose-wise! I based my sprites on a mix of the official site artworks and a few stills from the trailer; I changed a little bit of the perspective a few parts of the pose and expressions for gsc-likeness! :'P
A pixel art canvas showcasing retro styled aprites of Browt, a grass type, yellow bean chick pokemon with its trademark leaf brows, Pombon, the friendly fire type Puppy pokemon and Gecqua, the water gecko pokemon, with a clever slightly mischievous expression. The three sprites are made in the style of Pokemon GSC, following space and color limitations.

As per tradition, old sprites for new monsters!
I have to say I'm relly into the new game feel and I love all of these guys so freaking much. ๐๐

Thank you Myles! I definitely had some fun with the main points of debate brought by Horrocks regarding iconography, as analyzed by the author in this case! It's not really a matter of "who among the two comic artists is right" but rather the poignant point of debate itself, which is VERY important!
You may recognize a pixel version of the iconic Scott McCloud (Understanding Comics), facing a glitching algorithm of icons - and a few ghastly apparitions outside the monitor. L. Zanaboni's article analyzes the ontologic debate between S. McCloud and another brilliant artist Dylan Horrocks.
An illustration of an old pc, dimly lit. On the monitor, the comic character of Scott McCloud is being chased by an increasing number of error windows and computer glitches. In the darkness of the room above the pc, various ghastly icons of smiling faces, shapes and symbols are floating mysteriously.
An illustration depicting a fake pixelart screen from an old computer system resembling Windows. At the center a sofrware called "icon painter", similar to MS Paint, is open. Along with the menus, items and functions, the comic character of Scott McCloud is shown in the middle of the canvas. He looks worried about the glitching alerts, collapsing windows and error messages that are filling the screen.
I had the immense pleasure to be a guest illustrator for the latest issue of Keiko - Bedroom comics, an incredible italian magazine of comics and animation. My contribution is tied to a brilliant analysis piece by L. Zanaboni (phd and research fellow at University of Florence)
I have to say that 2D sprites + 3D low poly envos is such a sweet spot for me... ๐ฅฒโค๏ธ
Heueheueh tysm, you're too kind! I think LOTS of stuff could be improved here as I watch it back, but it's all been such a learning journey for me: I only recently began delving more into 3D and 3D animation so it's all... well, a clumsy yet really interesting process!
Ty Robin!!
Tysm dear ;_;
