Buttons with pictures on them placed in 3D printed supports
Created this (with the help of our STEM teacher because he has a 3D printer) for my 1:1 student that is learning his short "a" sound. I love it so much.

I have a student teaching placement! I will graduate this year and become a certificated special ed teacher. I'm so freaking excited.
Gross π© wrong on so many levels
I gave one of my student's mothers my phone number so we could communicate if they showed up at our school. I've mapped out a way to get him off school grounds if need be. I hate this.
I donβt want to hear anything from an elected official unless itβs a plan to defund the DHS and impeach Noem, Bovino, etc. No texts. No emails. No talk about the economy. Step up or step off.
Conversation between Discord screen names LadyGaddrael and Gaddrael. Lady: "I fear I want chips." Gaddrael: "Quckie and I'll get you some." Lady: "You would have me starve if I deny you relations?" Gaddrael: "Geezus woman."
What I begin to sound like when I read historical fiction π
Reading Boleyn Traitor and I always love Philippa Gregory but I had to laugh when the courtiers were describing Henry VIII as handsome. Now, I realize he might have been before his knee injury and blah blah blah but the usual image I summon when I think of Henry is less than flattering.
So excited for this!!
BREAKING: I'm reintroducing my bill with @markey.senate.gov to end qualified immunity for federal officersβincluding ICE agents.
This bill is for Renee Good, Keith Porter, & everyone in America to know that when ICE agents break the law & kill our neighbors, they'll be held accountable.
White Americans keep looking to 1930s Germany for lessons on authoritarianism, but they ignore Black Americans who have survived it here.
Slavery, Jim Crow, and racialized state violence are forms of American authoritarianism.
This cat wants me to think she's dead. (She's not.)
I really get tired of people just accepting shitty things, βIt is what it is.β NO! It doesnβt have to be and because of that attitude itβs become okay. Just stop.
Just recently found out that it WAS Education Support Professionals Week this past week. Shocking considering I AM ONE. My husband, who is also one, but in a different district goes, βOh yeah, they did something for us every day this week.β Meanwhile, I had zero idea this was a thing. Iβm pissed.
Publishers really donβt get it, do they? I would like to buy a book but Iβm deciding against it and checking it out from the library instead (not a terrible option, really) because it has been defaced by a book club sticker. For some that might sell it for them, but not for me.
I want a recording!
I canβt believe we were in the same space! That presentation was amazing.
Today was literally the worst day of work Iβve ever had.
Going to see Grady Hendrix tonight!!!
Iβm gonna be completely honest: one thing I do not understand are people who donβt read. And again, full honesty, Iβm definitely judging them.
Parable of the Sower was scarily accurate about the current climate, economy and the general state of things. Parable of the Talents hit the nail on the head with the current administration. Itβs surreal.

Finished Model Home by Rivers Solomon last night. They sure can write. Another great addition to haunted house horror but also with themes that everyone should read.
And if you havenβt already, read Sorrowland, as well. Itβs been a few years, but itβs one that has stuck with me.
That was my first thought!
Book cover showing creepy hand
Reminder that a) I have a new novel called THE BEWITCHING out this summer b) If you've read an ARC of this and liked it please review it.
Word of mouth is the one thing that works and keeps me fed and writing. www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/760756...

Seriously, hearing the frogs is giving me life.
Finished Parable of the Sower today by Octavia Butler, will be continuing on to Parable of the Talents soon and Iβve added everything Octavia has ever written onto my TBR.
If you havenβt read it yet, Iβd say nowβs the time.
