More history made today at the World Junior Figure Skating Championships. Mao Shimada made history as the first skater in any discipline to win 4 consecutive World junior titles. Hana Bath made history as the first Australian to win a medal in the women's event. Both women landed triple Axels! ⛸️
Canadian skating fans certainly know the name Rod Black. I had the opportunity to read an advance copy of the long-time skating commentator's upcoming memoir "Cut to Black: A Legendary Life in Sports (and Maybe a Few Beers)".

History made at the World Junior Figure Skating Championships today! For the first time ever, Canadian pairs finished 1-2 in the pairs event at the Championships. Ava Kemp & Yohnatan Elizarov were the first Canadian pair to win the World Junior title since Barbara Underhill and Paul Martini in 1978.
