I keep seeing Spotify wrapped posts everywhere. I don’t use Spotify so didn’t think I’d be able to join in. Then I found this fabulous illustration by Tom Gauld. As an avid audiobook listener, that section is particularly on point 😳

Possession is just the most beautiful book. I really enjoyed the audiobook read by Samuel West.

Just a shawl today, but there is a crocheted blanket on the back of my chair that I really should put on.
Need to crochet some mitts to sit permanently at my desk for when I’m cold too.

This picture shows the same blanket as the previous one, but folded over the back of the bench. The rainbow and grey grid patterns are prominent. The blanket has a rainbow and grey border.

I thought I’d introduce myself, as BlueSky seems to be a friendly place. I’ve been lurking here for a while, I joined when you still needed an invite. I knit, crochet and sew. I’ve designed and published patterns for socks and shawls. I’m also interested in British politics.

I found Big Green Books here on Bluesky yesterday and treated myself. I was intrigued by the signed copies of Angela Merkel’s new book. I had a lovely chat with Simon this morning, just checking I was ok to wait for a couple of weeks so my books could be posted together. Fantastic customer service!

Have you seen Rivals? It’s based on the Jilly Cooper book of the same name so very British. It’s set in the 80s and apparently that qualifies as a period piece these days 😱
But I have to say that the costumes, decor and music are spot on. It’s on Disney+ in the UK.

I don’t know if this will fall in the affordable category but I’ve used Clinique mascara for forever (sensitive skin means I’ve had to look for kinder alternatives). I like Lash Power, but they have lots of options. All around the £25 mark though.
