this was my first my first time seeing seeing one of Dianna’s videos, but even with her being stuck in bed with long covid, it was an ab-so-lute joy to watch.
In a room full of notebooks and laser light,
She’s back with the questions that keep us up at night.
Through the quiet months when the signals were low,
Now the spark’s returning and the circuits glow.
Doppler Diannnnaaaaaaa
I am soooooo Happy that Dianna managed to start back making video. Her smile when speaking about physics is a gift.
For those who don't know her, she is a wonderfull physics communicator who suffered violent post-COVID, that got her in bed . During. 3 . years.
Maybe like getting really invested in the façade choices for the new community center. Targeting bot networks to favor the pro neoclassical candidate
It's like they run things to specifically piss off Sarah Paine
My theory is that telling bullshit evolutionary just-so stories evolved because young males needed to competete for women's interest by telling bullshit stories by the campfire, because the human female prizes a mate that can make up stories for her children.
If either Azerbaijan or Georgia close their airspace a whole lot of Europe/Asia flights are going to need a refueling stop in Addis
At this point Pearl Harbor is a day that will live on in nornalcy
Though I suppose another way of seeing this is that people would have been much more distrustful of anybody who wasn't from the immediate area.
In middle ages there was this hue and cry thing where basically people would try to keep continuously shouting that the guy had committed the crime as he moved around until he was caught, like a distributed surveillance thing. I don't think it worked too well
Uhhhh thanks!
I couldn't get into it for some reason
I guess three day of the condor has a similar vibe. But what else
I just rewatched Day of the Jackal 1973 and i love the old police procedural, before everything is the security camera footage, the DNA, and the cell phone record
well i mean, if you're selling oranges, not much sense asking how good a cider they make
Excellent
can you point me to it, when i search for it i get a bunch of actual entreprenur pages and it's really hard to distinguish the parody from the real ones
youtu.be/e__qvc3b11s?... I saw this interview where the guy said "oh in France people resent you if you make money" and I mean do they though. Or do they just find it uninteresting and you keep bringing it up
Hey but it scales
It's the whole thing. His confidence in the fact he's imparting wisdom. "Is there an art to placing vending machines?"
Maybe it's only funny with my twisted sense of humor
This is possibly the funniest clip ever. You have to watch it at least three times back to back, focusing, to find the humor, but when it becomes funny it's like those 3d things where you need to cross your eyes youtube.com/shorts/3LrBn...
I have a weakness. And my weakness is that when I see somebody post a dumbass take, even though I know they're just engagement farming, a part of me keeps thinking they're a dumbass.
Social media erodes and threatens democracy worldwide, and it also gives us a venue for beautiful, amazing stuff like this:
“If you're not going to be part of the solution, you're going to be part of the precipitate.”
Threads like this are so good:
