you move further outside the very communities that could have helped you survive what's coming.
You don't get to harm us, lose anyway, and then wonder why we're not available to clean it up.
We see you. We've seen you. That's the part you keep missing.
Now Dems aren't sure whether to spend big to flip Texas.
Here's what the myth never tells you: maintaining it always lets you down. It never fulfills its promise.
And every time you choose it over the people who actually hold the wisdom to endure,
We were told democracy was on the line and that our concerns were a distraction. We were pressured to fall in line for a party that could not deliver what it promised.
And you voted for someone who sees Gaza as an obstacle to beachfront development.
And they still lost.
This is not new. This is the same playbook from 2024 when Black folx were attacked, publicly and relentlessly, for refusing to abandon our communities over Palestine.
We named the harm that was coming for us. We were called selfish.
You Burned the Bridge. Now You Can't Cross the River.
Let's be clear about what happened in Texas.
Folx, not just white folx, weaponized anti-Blackness to push Jasmine Crockett's senate bid toward a white candidate. They chose harm as a strategy. They exposed themselves to the Black community as unsafe. They made their priorities legible.

We will build what we need, protect what we have, and invest in the communities that invest in us.
2026 in TX is the last time white folx play in our faces while we do the work and reap none of the rewards.
We wish you well in figuring out what comes next. That part is on you.
You've benefited from our organizing, our labor, our moral clarity, and our willingness to show up for people who will not return the favor in kind.
That has run its course.
From this point forward, Black folx will do what we have always done: take care of our own.
Not because you're bad people. Because the myth has kept you from developing the knowledge and skills that would make you useful when it matters most.
You've asked Black women to carry democracy on our backs, a democracy we have yet to fully experience, in service to your comfort.
the belief in whiteness is stronger than any support white folx claim to have for Black communities and the most vulnerable among us.
And here's what that tells me after years of working directly with white folx: you have no idea how to handle what's actually coming.
What Happens Now Is On Yβall
The TX Democratic senate primary didn't just show us who lost. It showed us, again, exactly where white folx stand when the moment requires more than rhetoric.
Jasmine Crockett didn't lose on policy. We never do. She lost because, in numbers too large to keep explaining away,
WHITE LEFTISM IS DIFFERENT FROM BLACK LEFTISM
A lot of white leftism is believing that race and class are inextricably linked but they aren't.
Hey, your house is on fire.
Ok, thanks! Let me move some furniture around.

Our collective liberation does not run through your recognition of our value. It runs through us.
The result of last night's race doesn't change any of that. The harm was inflicted before the first vote was even counted.
The answers have always been right there. You just keep choosing not to use them.
Black people built this country. Black women are its moral compass. We have carried, organized, mobilized, and shown up, for everyone, including people who will not return the favor.
and policies rooted in the myth of white supremacy are designed to produce. Every time. Without exception.
And this time, we've seen and experienced enough to know what comes next. We will step back and let the myth teach the lesson to the open book test y'all keep failing.
yet again demonstrated something we need to stop pretending is an accident: we can never do enough of the work, while simultaneously being "too much" to be trusted with any of the decision making.
This is not a flaw. It is a feature. It is what systems, institutions,
The level of anti-Black rhetoric and erasure throughout this race reduced the contributions of my community to supporting cast status. And it felt too much like 2024 all over again.
Which means white "progressives" and "liberals," along with their minority myth surrogates,
Harm Was the Predictable Outcome
I went to bed last night before the TX Democratic senate race was called. Not because I didn't care. Because I didn't want to bear witness to a result that, to Black folx, particularly Black women, would feel like the same old story: we're good enough to be of service, but don't you dare ask to lead
are you leaning into the myth by operating as a full on white supremacist.
That's it. It's just that simple.

Conservative white people cling to whiteness loudly. Progressive white people cling to whiteness quietly. But both still cling. And the minute you forget that, you get blindsided.
This is why I don't debate that ALL whiteness is racist.
All I need to know is are you a racist who's leaning away from the myth of white supremacy by actively developing a consistent, demonstrated antiracist practice OR...
Aaaaand there's Anthropic on Sunday Morning (I know, I know, but I watch to catch what crap gets said) dodging softballs and saying they like to "play neutral." π
Welp, opens a throwback reminder of @kimcrayton1.bsky.social's "tech is not neutral or apolitical" so there's that π€·π»ββοΈ

The journey to life beyond,
Kim Crayton
Maybe it's quieter, a pull toward something more honest, more connected, more free.
Whatever brought you here, you are welcome.
I created the Life Beyond the Supremacy Myth Newsletter for white folx who are ready to move beyond the performance of "goodness" and into the practice of something real.
Something in you already knows another way is possible.
Maybe it shows up as dissonance, a growing sense that the world you were handed doesn't fit the person you're becoming. Maybe it's exhaustion, the cost of performing certainty you no longer feel.
