Three schools in our area are receiving PAsmart CTE grants to expand access to STEM and computer science:
Awardees in our district include:
• Luzerne IU – $75K
• Old Forge SD – $75K
• Scranton SD – $75K
These grants will help create more opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience.

If you paid for child or dependent care in 2024, you could get up to $2,100 back even if you owe no taxes, thanks to Governor Shapiro's expanded tax credit.

I’m happy to announce that Lackawanna and Luzerne counties have received funding through PCCD’s Indigent Defense Grant Program!
✅ $102,506 to Lackawanna County
✅ $108,441 to Luzerne County
These funds will support indigent defense and the STOP Violence Against Women Act.
