The reason I get angry and respond to the rumors isn’t because I feel guilty about my actions and react defensively. It’s because people are so persistently spreading false rumors—and some are actually believing them—that it’s become distracting enough to interfere with my work.

The stress from these ridiculous rumors has been so overwhelming that my depersonalization and hand tremors have come back again. For now, I don’t even feel like communicating in Korean. I just want to rest and not do anything at all. But I’ll take a break while doing the things I love. 😑

Nevertheless, there are also many kind Koreans who give positive feedback and create great synergy for creative work. It’s just that the so-called “internet police” on the opposite side seem to have a lot of free time. I’m trying not to let them get to me. 😔

My friends go through this frequently, and I also constantly experience this kind of harassment from Koreans. I can understand why Korean artists might want to leave Korea.

I often receive positive feedback from people in other language communities. However, Koreans still have a notoriously bad reputation. Especially those who have no jobs and too much free time — they spread false information and insist that creators should be fired.
