can't wait for this, "the details" by ia genberg is one of the best pieces of translated lit coming out of the nordics in recent years (high praise!)
just read my first Énard, "Tell Them of Battles, Kings, and Elephants", this month & plan to read Compass immediately... such a special talent.
i really liked it on a recent re-read!
but have in the past gotten an ick or feeling of being duped as its one of his non-fiction pieces which likely had a lot of fabrication, which can zap the fun out of it if you're in a certain mood.

An essayistic novel with truly unique form. It is part wittgenstein biography, part history of natural disasters & part tempestuous love story.
