When you try to get rid of LGPL, but LLMs generate no copyrightable works and you accidentally have gone from LGPL to Public Domain (and then you slap a license on it which you couldnβt do in the first place).

Deciphering Glyph ::
What Is Code Review For?
Deciphering Glyph, the blog of Glyph Lefkowitz.
I've seen a lot of people talking about the practice of code review in a way that I consider unrealistic lately. So here are my thoughts on what code review isβand isn'tβfor: https://blog.glyph.im/2026/03/what-is-code-review-for.html

The Los Glaciares National Park in Santa Cruz, Argentina
Already got all the images from our trip to the Los Glaciares National Park up on Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/gedankenstuecke/albums/72177720332270120/
Will get a subset of those on Wikimedia Commons too.

Tried uploading images to WM commons via vicuΓ±a today.
Unfortunately it doesn't make use of the description as provided in the image EXIF data either, and it can be a bit buggy.
But at least it makes finding and reusing categories as well as descriptions once typed out quite easy. Plus it can [β¦]

Fellow #Wikimedia Commons contributors: I've gotten to the point where the web upload form feels a bit cumbersome. What are your favorite alternatives to get images up? As i also put them on Flickr, good tools to copy from Flickr to WM Commons are an option too.

A post-it on a window reading sustaining a healthy Commons requires a culture of reciprocity, where those who take from the commons give back to it.
10 years ago today, I was a workshop on creating a scholarly commons in Madrid. And it seems some things haven't changed much. @jeroenbosman @iaravps
