The new modular system refurbishes existing bus stops with many of the new features.
This is not only environmentally sound, but also costs 80% less than a new shelter - so we can upgrade more bus stops faster.
London's bus stops haven't been re-designed for over 20yrs.
We're rolling out some new designs with features including:

💡improved lighting helping safety concerns
➡️signage to help wayfinding

Islington Council & TfL have just delivered the new zebra parallel pedestrian cycle crossing and northbound segregated cycle lane on Cycleway 1 - enabling even more people to cycle safely in the capital.

We've improved crossings & access through this busy roundabout. At the same time creating London's largest sustainable drainage system. After weeks of constant rain, there wasn't a puddle insight.

@tfl team to unveil the new David Bowie mural in centre of our Tolworth Roundabout safety scheme.
Bowie performed the 1st Ziggy Stardust gig at a pub nearby (as did Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, Yard Birds etc).
With the number of cycle trips in London soaring, we need to do even more to keep our roads safe for everyone.
Great to see the new bike lanes being built near Royal Docks and London's Excel Centre this morning.
Westminster's Bayswater Rd scheme would deliver a safer continuous cycling connection linking Cycleways 3 and 27, as well as providing a direct east–west route along the north side of Hyde Park.
