We’re lucky to have power. There are tons of businesses, some even on the same block as us, who don’t. A week’s worth of lost business is detrimental to small businesses, so consider shopping & eating local when you’re able to get out of the house safely. It’ll make a bigger impact than you know!

We’re open-ish! Still too dangerous for most of us to get to the store today so no Laydown Diaries, but the store has power & some booksellers who live close by are going to open the store 11am-4pm. If you need a place to defrost, charge devices, or just get out of the house, we’d love to see you!
Some of them have really settled into this new stay-as-warm-as-possible-and-break-out-a-book lifestyle. Check on your neighbors, thank your NES crews, and bundle up!
