Many ADHD/AuDHD folks have been raised to be attuned to other people's feelings instead of our own. While that gives us a strong sense of others’ needs, it often blinds us to what we truly need ourselves.
And yeah, I think that the DOGE folks at agencies kind of had unilateral decision making authority in a way that's kind of scary because they both had the we should come into government and do common sense things mindset without realizing that the most common sense things are actually the hardest to accomplish for very specific reasons.

Great article about how AI can help our neurodivergent community. Annoyed that those who don’t have lived experience think their opinions matter: “Experts warn against over-reliance, fearing AI may hinder critical-thinking and self-reliance.” We don’t need to be infantilized.

I've setup my own ATproto PDS to (hopefully) avoid the Bluesky checks coming in. I just don't want to give a random company that I don't have a choice of dealing with some personal information for pointless reasons.

Migration of accounts between PDSes seem to be risky at the moment, so re-follow and delete seems the safer option.
I wonder whether making PDSs even easier and better for self-hosting or community-hosting would have a negative effect on Bluesky as a company. E.g. in terms of funding and investment.
Whilst troubleshooting, I noticed outgoing connections going to Bluesky from the server. I came across this Github issue 😔 It's probably not high priority.

I'm going to delete my Bluesky based account, the requirement to verify my age in the UK was the deciding factor.
It's a relatively simple setup for one user. Just needs a VPS hosted somewhere with IPv4 networking and some DNS entries. The only thing that has tripped me up (so far) is the IPv4 requirement, as I was running an IPv6 only server.
