I got to build a prototype of a creature puppet today and play around with it and my heart is so full.
This puppet project I’m working on is gonna be SICK.
I was on a podcast! I went on the Go Creative Show to talk about puppetry, and it turned out to be a great conversation.

Can we please stop using a film’s box office as its measure of success?
That’s amazing! The little indie cinema I saw it in in Calgary was quite full.
This is HUGE. This dude is a YouTuber who wrote, directed, and starred in his film. It tripled its budget on its opening day.
I caught it at one of the local cinemas here in town. Solid cosmic horror. We NEED more people making and sharing films like this. This is a slam dunk for indie cinema.

Boom! We did it again. Calgary has just climbed to number 4 in MovieMaker Magazine’s 2026 list of the Best Places to Live and Work as a Filmmaker.

I finished another draft of my screenplay! What a rush. Is there any feeling like this?
Now off to the producers for notes and on to the next draft.
Got to spend a day on set filming wolves yesterday and that was awesome. They’re really beautiful, wild animals and also basically the same as my dog. This industry is great.
