They should've had the backbone to do it. Maybe this shows us they aren't ready to lead. If no investigation was initiated, then people need to stop claiming that it was stolen. To me, it just sounds like Americans not facing how apathetic and broken the country has been for a long time.

I left the USA after he was elected the first time period. It told me everything I needed to know about Americans, at that point. There are no words for how I feel about him getting a second term.

basically 68% of registered voters let it happen. That includes the ones who stayed home from the polls. So it's a majority of Americans.

And the fact that they let it happen a second time, after everything they knew about him after his first term, is just absolutely mind blowing.

White House: the witness’sΒ allegations are β€œcompletely baseless” and β€œbacked by zero credible evidence.”

Fact: FBI found her credible enough to interview repeatedly, and she received a financial settlement from the Epstein estate.

well, if we know anything about Trump and his friends, it's that they have a little regard for children......

New in PN: The bombing of Iranian children is an unforgivable crime

"American disinterest in the lives of people abroad is a resource politicians use to justify cynical wars. It's hard to see on what moral grounds we claim a right to decide the fate of those about whom we clearly care so little."

But the thing is, I have never heard Kamala Harris or Tim Walz say otherwise, or contest the results.

If it really happened, why didn't they speak up?

This has been going on for a few decades now. The same kind of flag waving rah-rah occurred after 9/11. Bush and Cheney were able to murder millions in the Middle East as a result of the American brainwashing "patriotism" that has gone on for years and years.

I'm tired of hearing right wing Americans referring to Iran's government as "religious zealots" - when these nutbags are running the show. #ReligionKills

exactly.

when I was in high school, late 70s, they were shouting from the rooftops about catastrophic climate conditions that would exist 40 yrs later.

In 2000, when the SCOTUS chose the US president, b/c court members were connected to Bush/Baker/Cheney, an American sat back and took it......

When I first started out as a journalist I thought it paid to have a background in US history when covering America. Then I thought it would probably be better to be a constitutional lawyer with expertise in jurisprudence. Now I think it would be useful to be a psychiatrist.

Attempted suicides, fights, pain: 911 calls reveal misery at ICE’s largest detention facility The calls to 911 poured in from staff at Camp East Montana, the nation's largest U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention facility, in its first months of operation in El Paso, Texas.

Staff at the nation’s largest ICE concentration camp, located north of El Paso, Texas, have placed bets on which detainee will be the next to "die by suicide," according to new reporting from the Associated Press based on 911 calls and detainee accounts.
