If you want something thats very flashy looking and somehow both super-training-wheels on but also a bit alien and different, Omarchy is pretty new and pretty neat. It's designed to be almost entirely keyboard driven, with a lil text bar that comes up for installing, opening browser etc: omarchy.org
Basically, you start on the outer layer and slowly go closer to the metal each time heh
So most people will say Linux Mint, which is very newby friendly and has a similar taskbar + desktop experience etc
But Mint is a step stone to Ubuntu, then a stepstone to Debian! 😁
