Ha! We should all use cats.txt
Oh yeah, 100% good point
Take note: AI bots aren't checking if you have an LLMs.txt file

If history repeats, very good chance we'll see a Google Core Update this month

I can't! It'll work as long as Google doesn't consider it spam π€·ββοΈ
Hey peeps, I came up with a BRILLIANT new SEO strategy. 100% new, completely bulletproof. Pretty sure this is going to work forever π
That was a good day.
Confession: I forgot your username, and when I looked at your profile, I thought "Hey, my friend has a photo exactly like that"
Unsure if I should convert my content to Markdown for AI bots or simply burn my website to the ground
π¨ Organic clicks arenβt just being βstolen by AI Overviewsβ. Theyβre being reallocated across the SERP, and a big chunk is going to ads.

Research shows up to 75% overlap between ChatGPT/Google Shopping
Why? ChatGPT runs specific fanout queries for productsβessentially scraping Google Shopping URLs
So if you want to rank in ChatGPT, you should probably optimize for Google Shopping

All very, very confusing, but sounds like "Googlebot" will crawl 2MB, while other Google crawlers may crawl up to 15MB
Regardless, 2MB is a lot
Nice catch via @not-a-robot.com on Google's reducing its crawl limit to 2MB per file type π€
The old limit was 15MB per file (HTML, CSS, etc)
If your webpages are > 2MB, Google may crawl it all. If you render URLs in SC and see missing content, check file sizes

Nice case study of where users click when AI overviews are present:
β’ Traditional: 51%
β’ AI Citation: 15%
β’ AI Overview: 11%
β’ Other: 23%
Honestly surprised so many users gravitate to the first AI citation π― (legal query, desktop)

Good answer!
Good answer!
Good point
You can only pick one. Which do you choose?
1) Ranking #1 in traditional results
2) First citation in AI Overview
3) Brand/website included in AI answer

"Negative GEO experiment
Testing competitor sabotage in AI responses"
www.rebootonline.com/geo/negative...
We all know "negative" AI SEO/GEO is possible, but the folks at Reboot actually tested it:
β’ Created a fake person
β’ Published negative info
β’ Tracked and measured AI outputs
While they achieved success, it was tougher than expected. AI models are seemingly getting better at "authority" π§΅
Congrats!
