The full lineup of the old Megaman X9 project. Mosquito, Fox and Possum were based on ideas I started when I was around 8, so this stuff is ancient. Hell, I replaced other bosses with Crane, Hermit, Giraffe, Porcupine and Angler because Capcom made the same boss ideas later.

Regardless of what happens, there's a sub-clause that indicates they might use the design for *something* if they find it interesting, despite not winning. So who knows!
It was honestly the reason I suspected it would be immediately rejected, since it could bind them to a stage design they might not be prepared to do. I'm frankly really surprised we're here right now!
One of my jobs is logo design, and it frustrated me to no end that I didn't have time to properly set up a design document for it. So its nice to hear a rushed hand-drawn version still works!

I think I never made an Axel sprite for my lineup because he's implied to be out of comission after X8. Maybe I could give a post-X8 design some thought.

The Legendary Axe concept mockup. Been a while since I made one of these. Research was tough. I have no connection to the game or the turbografx-16 whatsoever, but the final boss being a weird and unsettling merger of confused cavemen held together by an eldric mass was captivating.

There's plenty of potential codenames in the MGS series, though as far as ones that match MMX naming conventions that are from the same game, I think the only ones I could reasonably do are the characters from MGS Ghost Babel. Though it lacks one or two characters to be a full set of 8.
