Sunny's friends say this message sent to Sunny, dated 8:09 pm, was left on read. No response from Sunny since then.

But not long after, they say Cook County Sheriffs entered the facility, later reporting back they didn't find Sunny inside.

Update to the update: Cook County Commissioner Kevin Morrison says the presser has been moved to noon tomorrow.

Afzal and Morrison tell me the current plan in trying to find Sunny is calling hospitals and gas stations around the ICE facility, located at 1930 Beach Street in Broadview, IL.

Afzal also reports being high school friends with Commissioner Morrison, who himself says he has known Sunny since she was a child.

Update: Sarah Afzal, sister of the missing citzen Sundas "Sunny" Naqvi, tells me there will be a press conference tomorrow morning at the Broadview facility at 10 a.m.

Happening now- the Broadview, IL ICE facility: a few dozen people have gathered here over the bizarre situation re: a US citizen who was allegedly detained by federal immigration agents, only for agents to reportedly say she wasn't there.

Update: Cook County Sheriff said CBP agents told them they have no idea who she is and she was never at the facility and advised the family to file a missing person report

Agents were just outside a moment ago with flashlights, seemed like they were looking for something

Update from Broadview where Morrison told me CBP told Raja Krishnamoorthi and him that she was released last night

But Morrison said CBP now says she was never detained despite her phone pinning at Broadview as of around 9pm

and then her phone is turned off, discontinuing us to see her location information. Which up until that point was still pinging from the ice detention facility. 20 minutes later they allow two Cook County sheriff officers to enter and search the facility themselves showing no one inside. 2/3
