Damn, misread $1B as $18. For a second there I thought I'd *almost* qualify!

Success! Rolled a new druid and made better build: beat Geonor on the 1st try! π¬πͺ #PathOfExile2
"Aw shit, here we go again..." My failure during #PathOfExile2 free weekend started bugging me, so went and purchased the early access key. π¬ Maybe I can fix the druid build or just roll a new character, still in Act 1 after all.. π (But I'll go and finish CP: Phantom Libery first!)
One of my 90s favourites! The score, too! π
Finished #Cyberpunk, started Phantom Liberty yesterday. Really good game IMO; perhaps not entirely what it was hyped to be, but solid stuff. The highlight for me is the superb aesthetic that nicely captures the Blade Runner vibe! π As a life-long BR fan that's a huge bonus. GG, will play again!
Today is the last day that you can repost this image
CachyOS, Nobara or maybe Bazzite (if you're after more of a Steam Deck / HTPC type of experience) are the usual suspects, I guess. π€ Personally I'm just running Linux Mint, as I did my distrohopping loong time ago and settled on Debian/Ubuntu derivates. Mint needs some tweaks for latest HW, though.
Do it! πͺ Really happy with my switch. I still have Win11 as dual boot, but rarely boot into it. 98% of time is spent on Linux. Gaming included, which is nice. π
Time to call it quits, I think. Can't seem to beat the Act I boss! π My build is likely utter shit, just realized I don't even have any cold resitance... Oh well. Started dying a lot in these last few areas, so no wonder the boss isn't that easy either. #PathOfExile2
A short break from #Cyberpunk2077, as #PathOfExile2 has a free weekend! Druid seems fun, and the passive skill tree is as massive as ever. π
Forgot that Cyberpunk supports FSR4 by default. Got it working in Linux with an env var launch param, didn't need Optiscaler for this. π
After quick testing upscale quality seems much better compared to FSR3, nice! Won't be missing DLSS as much now.. π
Related to the GPU change, finally started playing #Cyberpunk2077! Bought it on release day for PS4, never played as it was half-baked. Waited for PS5 version but somehow never got around to it. Now playing on #Linux PC! ππ€
Was nice to see Sapphire not only including #Linux in supported OS list, but before Windows too! Probably just alphabetical order, but still. πποΈ
Undervolting helps, got better performance for 50W less power than stock consumption! Still, with the extra oompf it means more heat in the case compared to my old card. Happy with the switch so far, even if RT and DLSS are better on team green. Should try #Optiscaler to get FSR4 working.. π€
As GPU prices may go up soon (hopefully not as much as RAM, ouch! πΈ), I bought a RX 9070 XT from Black week sales. #Linux driver support is better on AMD, although TBH it wasn't too bad with my old 4060 Ti. Nice speed boost in games, even if RT stuff is slower than Nvidia. Uses way more power tho..
Congrats! I really must try this at some point (already wishlisted!), because it looks so cool and polished. Even if it's probably way too fast-paced for my now officially old 40 y.o. brain and reflexes. π
This is Sektori! A twin-stick shooter I've been making (and documenting the journey) since April 2021. And it finally launched TODAY on Steam, PS5 and Xbox! Here's a fresh launch trailer, all shares highly appreciated. More game info in replies.

"...and it's a PC Yes, Steam Machine is optimized for gaming, but it's still your PC. Install your own apps, or even another operating system. *Who are we to tell you how to use your computer?*"
Shots fired... π¬π #SteamMachine #valve
Ha, I literally *just* installed the Flatpak like two days ago, then got the update and was briefly very confused: what the hell happened..? π€π
Ouch! Just out of curiosity, from which vendor are the sticks from? I don't recall ever having faulty RAM. No such luck with HDDs though.. π€
Windows 11 continues to be
πMy old PC has GTX 970, the official NVidia drivers work fine in Mint. Didn't try the Nouveau drivers at all. I guess they work if you want to have pixels on screen, but for anything more than that the proprietary drivers are the way to go. Unlike with AMD, for which the open source driver is great.
Hi, did you actually install Mint, or just trying the live version off the USB-drive? Driver installs will not work in live mode.
Once again:
I took a bit of time and put together a compact summary of the 4.5 years of Sektori (from the devlog gifs you've seen if you've followed me). 3 weeks until release! #indiedev #gamedev

Always. Also during early prototyping phase.. π«£
updated version for modern device sizes
Nice, seems like #GodotEngine 4.6 will solve this gripe with Control pivots (didn't test yet): github.com/godotengine/... ποΈ
