MPs' pay to rise by 5% to Β£98,599 a year from April
Westminster's expenses watchdog says MPs are dealing with higher levels of complex casework and abuse.
MPs are accepting a pay rise of 5% bringing themselves up to Β£98k meanwhile expecting NHS workers in England to accept 3.3%.
There is always enough money for a nice MP payrise sonehow...
We deserve more than 3.3% after years of below inflation awards.

The background of the poster is made up of 3 black and white images picturing crowds of protestors holding banners fighting for the liberation of women and of Palestine throughout history. There is a vivid red filter over the images, and a thin light cream border around the edges of the poster. A big '07' and a '03' beneath it lay on top of the images, coloured light cream and semi-transparent, filling the entire background. Large, solid text in front of this reads '2026' and 'INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY DEMO', taking up the top half of the poster. On the bottom left of the poster are the logos of the organisations supporting this demo. They include: Yorkshire Drummers for Palestine, Leeds Students Against Apartheid Coalition, Stand Together Leeds, Sisterhood in Solidarity, Trans Leeds, Students Federation of India United Kingdom, Workers Power Leeds, Leeds Stand Up to Racism, Yorkshire Feminist Collective, Leeds Palestine Solidarity Campaign, and Women Defend Rojava Leeds. Above these logos is a black and light cream QR code with the text 'PROTEST RESOURCE PACK' to the right of it, coloured light cream. A light cream arrow below this text points to the QR code. On the bottom right of the poster, text in light cream reads 'SATURDAY 7TH MARCH 12PM', 'LEEDS ART GALLERY, LS1 3AA' and 'MASK WEARING ENCOURAGED'. There is a small, light cream coloured outline of a face mask on the left of the last line of text.]

dotw_uk on Instagram: "During the pandemic, the government put anti-migrant policies ahead of peopleβs lives. Many migrants worked on the frontline as nursβ¦"
During the pandemic, the government put anti-migrant policies ahead of peopleβs lives. Many migrants worked on the frontline as nurses, carers and social workers, facing greater risks and fewer protections than others. At the same time, people born outside the UK avoided NHS services because they feared being reported to the Home Office, despite the government being advised that immigration enforcement should be relaxed. All warnings were ignored. As a result, migrant communities suffered much higher rates of infection and death.Community groups had to step in, running vaccination clinics so people could get vaccinated safely. This Tuesday, Francesca Humi from @kanlungan_uk gave evidence for the Migrantsβ Rights Consortium at the COVID Inquiry, showing how the governmentβs choices did not just harm migrants - they put everyone in the UK at risk.View all comments
