My buddy helped me with the graphics for this hastily-printed SNUGGIEJAM '09 banner that I taped up at the bar's entrance
I don't remember who was taking artsy pictures that night but my Snuggie had to be all pinned up in the back because it kept sliding off
Wife and I. Slanketing in public
I cut a pee flap into my Snuggie to make trips to the bathroom easier. You laugh, but it was a crucial modification for a 10+ pint night
On this day 17 years ago I threw out a same day invite and organized an unsanctioned Snuggie-themed rager at a local pub. I think they thought we were a cult? Imagine going out for a casual pint and running into 30+ weirdos getting hammered in wearable blankets. Anyway yes I've always been like this

A selfie of me standing in front of a giant painting featuring a ski racer zipping down the slopes. He is an absolute bastard
I rescued this painting from the ski condo before I sold it. His name is Two-Plank Hank, and he is my sleep paralysis demon. At night he crawls off the canvas and complains that I'm plowing off all the good corduroy with my snowboard

The Simpsons bus driver meme edited to say "Don't make me tap the sign: HOBBYISTS MASQUERADING AS PROFFESIONALS"
1) Gets invited to anthology
2) Writes 5K story for it
3) Waits well over a year with no response
4) Finally emails editor about status of said anthology
5) Email goes ignored
I'm not naming names but please miss me and everyone else with this time wasting amateur hour bullshit. I'm all set

A review of Inhalation from Helen W. that reads as follows:
A cosmic horror novella which packs a lot of punch into its modest length. The setup: Milo is an older man dying of cancer who returns to his childhood home to live out his remaining days. The house was the scene of endless sorrow as he watched his large family succumb to illness and injury one by one before finally fleeing in hopes of surviving. His one remaining sibling is Marie, a religious fanatic with a dangerous obsession and dark secrets who has no qualms about threatening what little life Milo has left to live.
The narrative jumps back and forth in time as we explore both the tragic history of Milo's family as well as Marie's present-day machinations as the ruthless leader of a cult that would do anything to please her. Marie is one of those instantly hissable villains who you root to get her comeuppance and yet is also understandable as being as damaged in her way as the rest of her family. The other villain here, of course, is the strange entity that looms in a dark corner of the house. Invisible to most, its insatiable appetite doomed Milo's family and threatens generations to come unless he can harness his waning strength and ingenuity to challenge it.
Is tender horror a thing? Because if it is, this story would fit that genre perfectly. There is something so sweet and appealing about Milo's character and his earnest desire to try and make amends for the string of tragedies that were in no way his fault. A pervasive gentle melancholy and the poignancy of Milo's plight and suffering raise this tale from straightforward horror to a very human and relatable portrait of generational trauma and the power of hope and courage. Being a fan of books with illustrations, I also appreciated the evocative drawings and altered photographs scattered throughout. This one is a great find for fans of creepy horror that packs a true emotional wallop.
God damn, what a great early review of Inhalation. Is tender horror a thing? NetGalley is wide open for ARCs if you want to find out

1) The regular number of puppies to be eating per day is zero
2) I am subtracting from earth's entire puppy population. I will consume every puppy on earth if I have to
3) Probably golden retrievers?
4) Either version will save one (1) puppy

A PM Press release that reads as follows:
ETHER'S WOOD
By Michael Boulerice
Digital: Fiction: Horror
November 24, 2025
Author of FEEDING THE WHEEL Michael Boulerice's ETHER'S WOOD: AN ELEMENTARY PRIMER, a themed collection of sci-fi-horror connected by an interweaving narrative, illustrations, and epistolary elements centered around an ethereal plane, pitched as representative of the author's struggles with insomnia, unresolved grief, and lived trauma, to Megan Yundt at Death's Head Press, in an exclusive submission, for publication in summer 2027 (world English).
DEAL ANNOUNCEMENT: It's gonna be a weird one, folks. Deeply personal, very grim. This themed collection is me strapped to a chair with an IV full of sodium pentathol as administered by @alexwoodroe.com (who was kind enough to write a foreword). If you've ever wanted The Boulerice Buffet, this is it
