JRuby currently has no official ActiveRecord support for Rails 8, but one of our users discovered that a build from master works right now! It will need some cleaning up, but we'll be caught up with Rails compatibility very soon. Rails 8 plus JRuby 10.1 will be a game changer.

Not sure if they're considered public but the Stalter Report made a reference to road pricing in the 1930s, and RAND Corporation in the late 1940s. The influential Smeed Report is later - 1964.

The reason seasoned #Windows users get more & more annoyed with #Microsoft is that convenience features disappear over time. E.g., in W10, most app & program windows will grow to screen height if you double click the border on top/ bottom - except first party app Windows Photos - it does nothing!

JRuby 10.1 with Ruby 4.0 support is now on master and it's GREEN! 10.1 snapshots have been pushed for Maven and as "jruby-head" for Ruby installers and the setup-ruby GHA action. Docker Hub dev images will be available soon. Get in there and test it out!

JRuby's support for Ruby 4.0 has been merged, only 2 months after the CRuby release! Just a handful of tests were excluded... 99% of 4.0 features are ready for JRuby 10.1. I'll spend the next few weeks on optimization experiments and stabilization.

In my opinion, younger people who were probably more mobile, tablet, Chromebook first - with an expectation of apps that allow you to log in anywhere to be able to see your data everywhere.. and so on. I'd imagine they prefer G Suite because "my docs are on every device automagically"

I am of the opinion that Windows has disappointed / failed "seasoned" users (as against power users). I get some of what they are doing to meet new users where they expect to be but longer term seasoned users are left somewhere uncertain.

Ruby 4.0 support ยท Issue #9061 ยท jruby/jruby
Ruby 4.0 will be released soon. This feature checklist is based on the NEWS file from CRuby's master branch. We'll update this list until the release has been finalized. Pull requests to implement ...
JRuby 10.1 has moved to master and Ruby 4.0 support should merge this week. We're aiming for a 10.1.0.0 release in the next month if I get all these fun optimizations done in time. The few dozen failures left could be finished post-release. Help wanted!

I watched it with my son (who is a bit of a gamer), and we enjoyed it - but it cut away from Plot-A to Plot-B rather quickly and was not as satisfying as I had hoped.

Hey! I wrote this up for you on what Outlook offers for sharing calendars and it might meet your needs. Take a look?

I think Outlook only uses delegates and shared calendars or something.. I don't use Google much, so I don't know well what kinds of access it offers - will try to take a look.

If you're ever able to redo this activity, could you try CoPilot in Word? I recently used it for things like "find all the acronyms in this document and compare them with the official table in Section 1"... and it did a VERY good job once (and a terrible job once)

One way of thinking about this is that Sharepoint stores *all the files* for the team. The Sharepoint page for that Team will show you the raw structure, folders, etc. and the Teams software (and its Shared view) is just a "view of those files" similar to (but different from) the Web View.

It's late here but if I remember, I will see if I can find you a video or post some place that explains this better than I am able to :-)

You kinda can - but it's one level up... at the Sharepoint level, not the OneDrive level.
It's confusing but:
* A Team is built around a Sharepoint site that stores files, etc.
* At the Sharepoint level, you can add permissions, etc.
* OD for Teams is basically to let you sync files to PC

By the way, the "Sync" at the end of that line lets you sync to your PC for easy access, and the "Add shortcut to OD" makes it easier to find this or similar stuff more easily in OD (I guess).

Sorry, I was looking personal chats, not in Teams Channels. I think this roughly mimics the structure of your Sharepoint site for this Project/ Team so that you don't need to go from Teams -> Sharepoint to find docs from outside this channel. In messages seems to be from the channel.

In the OD web interface, you can mark folders as Favorites.
In Sharepoint, you can choose to sync entire folders to your PC via OD.
There's a path in there somewhere for what you want, clumsy though it may feel in the beginning :-)
