New cost estimates for the Slauson-Union Station segment of the Southeast Gateway Line were presented at the July 2nd TAC meeting.
Fully underground aligbment past I-10 is projected at $12.2 billion, and aerial alignment at $8.9 billion.

Metrolink Ventura - Goleta service (Pacific Surfliner service expansion) has been delayed due to UP negotiations. New timeline is predicting early 2026.
Update on the ZEMU train (for Arrow) in San Bernardino
ZEMUs will be testing a third time because their PTC system had to be redone. Testing is scheduled for Tuseday thru Friday next week. Following this and FRA approval, we should see the ZEMUs entering service soon.
July 2025 Division 20 Portal Widening & Turnback Progress Update
Overall project progress is 84% complete. Most work is focused on the tracks, switches and making sure they are safe to operate and test on.
July 2025 D Line Extension Phase 3 Project Update
Design is 99% done, overall construction 63.5% complete. Main activities are concrete installation and pouring, as well as initial electrical work.

Tickets will be closer to current Surfliner tickets (the 10-ride pass is the same as the current Amtrak price). There is also a new timeline for crew training and revenue service, which are approximately 12 weeks away.

Metrolink Goleta - Ventura commuter service update -
Will be branded as part of the Pacific Surfliner service, but operated by Metrolink. It will not use the same style of codeshare as the Ventura County Line.

Customer Centers will begin selling the cards at 10:00am.
TVMs will have the other design, at the following: Hyde Park (K), Crenshaw (C), Slauson (J), Compton (A), Hollywood/Vine (B), and Expo/Crenshaw (E). Will be stocked at Hyde Park first @ 9am, gradually rolling out.

The two designs will be split between Metro Customer Centers and Station TVMs. Only one per person will be sold at Customer Centers, and they are enforcing the minimum $1 loaded fare.
