Hive mind! My partner has fairly extensive bilateral sensorineural hearing loss and is meant to wear hearing aids but found the NHS ones very uncomfortable.

Weโ€™re looking at private options, and Iโ€™m wondering if anyone in my network has any recommendations?

It's the kind of feeling that makes me hate working with software.

Although, I do wish I'd just chill out some times.

I've just spent close to 2 hours debugging why my microphone on my mac desktop wasn't working (a Yeti Blue - pre Logitech).

Anxiety inducing at the level 11. It was something related to ghost logi software lurking and not releasing the USB device even though I wasn't using the logitech software.

There are a lot of things wrong with this. (Like a lot of things).

But what stood out to me was "llms don't feed and validate narcissists". Like they absolutely do? These things feed you back exactly what you wanna hear. By design.

Don't use ai for therapy. Full stop. Don't do it.

Appleโ€™s Interoperability Commitments to the UKโ€™s CMA Promise Nothing - Open Web Advocacy

Govenments change and (Bruce can correct me), but it now means there's potentially going to be a soft approach to Apple's monopoly (ie. they'll decide whether they want to investigate themselves).

A warning.

All the worst people in the country are now shitting themselves.

The mother of all campaigns is now going to be directed against the Green Party.

It will be an unrelenting smear campaign.

The Greens need to be ready for that - and so does everyone on the left.

I know I shouldn't bust open the news this early (for my own sake), but couldn't help it and really pleased to find that the Greens won it.

Amazing effort ๐Ÿ’š

This *is* cool, but does anyone else remember the time when "built in a week" was a red flag?

Lately it's used as testament as to validate and justify.

I don't deny it's impressive. Itโ€ฆjust doesn't sit in the right spot for *me* when it's anything other than a scrappy tool or prototype.
