Furry lion ears, pink pawpads on silver furred hind legs and a long filigree tail, great stormcloud-grey wings, and hands/forearms like talons. The negative space around the creature is filled by stylized floral illustrations of flax.

I've been drawing inspiration from illuminated manuscripts lately...

Griffins are fabulous beasts, sharing the symbolic wisdom of the eagle and strength of the lion; the meeting of heaven and earth, the human and the divine. What sort of transcendent secrets does it keep?

Furry lion ears, pink pawpads on silver furred hind legs and a long filigree tail, great stormcloud-grey wings, and hands/forearms like talons. The negative space around the creature is filled by stylized floral illustrations of flax.
