I worry that some senior manager will penalize me for not using the AI tooling more, or because my code output is slower. I guess I’m lucky in that people in my org know me as someone who is very careful and can see through problems, but that doesn’t mean that’ll translate to C-suite executives

I’m a senior software engineer. My company is pushing us to use AI code generation, and so far I’m not impressed at all. It’s being used a lot in test generation, especially by more junior engineers. I’m detail oriented and I’m seeing so many tests that are just…garbage.

So, mind if I ask which knives? 👀
