Ha-ha. Nope, it's not Dwarf Fortress in space. But I guess it has something in common. It would be an idle clicker where you just buy ships and they do everything on its own
So it's basically a clicker with extra steps (should make it look waaaay coooler)

I guess mostly what makes your look so unique is texturing technic. Asides from how you animate everything
With what you have - it just works and somethings makes it feel alive. How shadows, movement of textures and everything works. So if we gonna put it in question - I guess it would be: how you make your look so juicy?

Well. I am mostly a programmer and not the most artistic one. So with sketch I showed you the issue it to make it feel natural in game. It looks good when it's static but when it moves it just does not work with that art style (hard to describe for me why) 1/2
So I added yellow ships which collect resources from orange ships and then deliver them in bulk to the main base. Yeah, without animation it's hard to guess but orange ships are collecting resources to deliver them to the main base

The more difficult one is about how you worked with texturing environment so it does not lose “hand drawish” style when it moves
