I lived in VA then CA for over a decade and never ever got past how gas was basically free as far as I was concerned, especially when you take into account income tax on your earnings to pay for it versus prices where I am now back in the UK for the moment.
Up early to go spectate at the Nottingham 10k road run this morning. Expecting to see a few of our Parkrun regulars.

I got the stats side of it this far (and it streams live updates in Grafana). I am going to add a map view too, but that's never been the focus of the project - it's always been about tracking stats for what's passing by and alerting for "interesting" stuff.
That project is currently getting some of my time as I greatly expand its Grafana dashboard (cos I work there these days).

A new car battery sitting in the engine compartment of a Skoda Yeti.
The 10 year old Yeti cost me a couple of suspension bushing replacements to get through MoT but I was half expecting that so went ahead and got it a new battery too as the old one was struggling.

We turned up to set up for Wollaton. Stags initially said no but moved on.
