SO can easily generate enough revenue to sustain itself. it doesn't have to "hypergrow" or "100x ROI." we don't have to sacrifice it and sell it for parts, just like Toys'R'Us and Red Lobster didn't have to be cannibalised for short-term shareholder profit
Like, I realize SO fed its own body to AI in a one-time future-destroying deal, but what is stopping anyone from rebuilding it? SO needs a decent interface and community that cares, and both are still there and super possible. SO is not the executives who run it

I encourage everyone to spend tons of time with AI chat bots and reading the content they create because, like vaccines, it inoculates you to AI slop via exposure to their average and predictable writing patterns, so your brain can learn to tune them out
