Vampire Johnny Cash and goth rock dreamboat. Guitar slingin' and accordion squeezin'. Obsessed with ghosts and monsters. Kind of goth, kind of western. Links, etc: https://Frankenstein.country Mastodon: @mykie@haunt.graveyard.boo

Just watched βThe Catman of Parisβ. An intricate script that wasnβt properly adapted for screen with some questionable direction but excellent costuming. It was almost fun.
My county is on somewhat of a roundabout building spree. People around here always complain about them but Iβd mix rather have a roundabout than a four way. Especially because at a roundabout you donβt have people trying to wave you ahead of them.
When a good citizen warns you of a trap you better believe βem
Iβm practicing with a haptic metronome I got a couple years ago as a gift but have never really used. Itβs so much harder to play along with than a click. But it somehow feels more like playing along with drums so itβs probably good for me
Last.fm has really good recommendations once youβve got a good history built
One of the things that tries my patience the most is when another driver arrives at a stop sign first and then tries to wave me ahead of them.
Must be annoying to go by the name Al these days
Thereβs this shot in Evil Dead where Ash is ascending some stairs and itβs shot from below. As he climbs the spaces between the steps gets narrower and narrower until at the last step the screen is mostly black except for the narrow strip where we see him nervous from below.
Never mind. The first third is good. The rest of it makes me wish I was watching plan 9.
Iβm watching βThe Bride and the Beastβ and Iβm pretty sure the only Ed Wood movie I donβt love is Plan 9
Tonightβs double feature is βThe Ghost of Dragstrip Hallowβ and βHold That Ghostβ.
Dragstrip was a ton of fun and a really specific slice of teenage Americana. Genuinely one of my favorite movies from the past several months.
Watching rocky horror again because thatβs apparently just what I do
It popped into my head randomly and my reaction was βthereβs no way that at least someone would like thatβ π
What if: a scented candle that smells like microwaved leftover pizza
Steamy up close photo of the worldβs largest operating steam locomotive, the Big Boy 4014
They announced the next 4014 tour yesterday. Hereβs the most recent photo I took of it when it stopped by last year.
Tonightβs double feature is just Rocky Horror twice
Tonight Iβm watching βThem!β because I caught a few minutes of it a while back and it looked awesome. So far itβs perfect.
Tonightβs double feature is a triple feature of my favorites since itβs the last Sunday of the year. Night of Ghouls, Braindead, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Love Elf, but I would definitely have enjoyed more Bob Newhart
Tonightβs double feature is Grinch 2000 and Elf 2003
One of the best movies I ever saw I swear
This movie is goth as hell
The quality of βthe night of the hunterβ is far above my normal Sunday night treatment. I had almost forgot that movies have always been good
Tonightβs double feature is βDead of Nightβ, which is one of my most favorite movies, and βThe Night of the Hunterβ
Tonightβs double feature is βIt Came From Outer Spaceβ and βThe Monolith Monstersβ.
Outer Space has aged really well and thereβs a lot of really cool cinematography
12 year old nephew texts more like an adult than any of the adults I know π
Tonightβs double feature is βThe Ape Manβ (1943) and βThe Monster Makerβ (1944). Ape man was a low budget thing, but Lugosi still acted his heart out. Really good and the goofball character is lampshaded so hard that it redeems him.
Tonightβs double feature is βFreaksβ and βBlack Moonβ. I was afraid how Freaks would have aged but I think it still has a hell of a lot to offer modern audiences
If you want to hear Karloff monologue then βThe Man They Could Not Hangβ is your movie. Itβs incredible.
