Gaming on Linux update: Out of the box, my Wii U Pro controller connected and worked. GREAT! Once Upon a Katamari works perfectly. GREAT!

Cyberpunk runs fine on my mac so I'll just use that, it looks better than it did on Windows when I played it before. Don't think I'll want to stream that one so it doesn't matter!

Welp, Cyberpunk 2077 runs almost good enough with the graphics all the way down and at 720p, its not worth it. Just Cause 3 is almost okay. Game About Digging A Hole is perfect at first glance. MIGHT have a Windows install on my second HD if I end up wanting to play some of these

also for what it's worth, I tried Mint too cuz I'm a Mint fan, but GTA IV was giving me like 5fps lol, but out of the box Bazzite is performing like crazy. my machine is like ten years old and wasn't super high end to begin with, I feel like new life has been breathed into it

Learning about Proton is what kicked me into it, haven't tried gaming on Linux in a decade and I don't think there was a good solution for running Windows games back then, but any native Linux games I had always ran much better

but now I know I can run GTA so its over for windows

The tradeoff is not being able to play everything. skate., for example, isn't supported and wont run. I haven't got into OBS plugins much but there's probably a few that might not make it over. Oh well! I'm otherwise getting a smoother streaming experience and better games performance!

I still gotta try some more modern stuff, gonna see how Cyberpunk works next. But Fall Guys (a game I streamed when it released in 2020) was smooth as hell, when before I remember it being Just Good Enough with graphics all the way down.

Using Bazzite, the Linux for Gamerz, and lemme tell ya, it games really well!

GTA IV benchmark, graphics at max, got a consistent 60fps while streaming. On Win10, to play while streaming, I had to lower everything and go 720p and it still was choppy. Huh!

SNAP benefits process is taking forever and they keep messing with me, trying to deny me, even though I qualify. May not get them until the end of the month and I need groceries. Bills and expenses are coming up. Please help if you can 💚
