There’s often SO much misinformation when it comes to cannabis esp when our industry is more interested in making money off you than actually taking care of the people that are interested in strains, what would work best for you and the quality of your stuff you walk out with.

Anyway. This was a big chunk of my paycheck and I tried to quell the anxious worries of my manager but he seemed more interested in letting me go than working with me. People that are budtenders often go into the industry cause they really love their job and want to teach others badly.

If dispensaries in Illinois want to be taken seriously we really have a long way to go and while I get the state being excited for new money coming in you end up having a medical experience when going to the dispo instead of like in other states you can actually see the quality of the grow.

Illinois dispensaries have a long way to go as I’ve found they are just as bad as Amazon at times with turnover rate. I’m not manager and I was training new people coming in. It’s quite sad cause the industry is more excited about the money coming in than actually taking care of people.

As much as I loved my job they really weren’t accommodating of my health what so ever. Frequent guilt tripping, gaslighting me over whether or not I’m “making the right choice” and their environment just being more accommodating to customers than to the budtenders that also provided care.
