It’s basically my new favourite local, I’ve been three times already!

One of my favourite places in the world, and one I consistently recommend to other people. You only have to breathe a mention of Brussels in my earshot and I will immediately interject that you NEED to go here!
@transportforlondon.bsky.social I get why you need to do line closures for maintenance but why do your rail replacements have to be so absolutely piss poor? Terrible signage/directions to track them down, no indication of frequency, just standing in the rain for a half hour each direction (Mildmay).
Yes it’s good, I don’t think it’s quite £11.70 good, but I’m telling myself it’s easily better than two pints of bland in some generic London pub.
This is the naughty culprit: an imperial stout from The Bruery 😮💨
Just spent £11.70 on a third of beer mid-Sunday afternoon. I think I’m doing Sunday right 👍
A robin has appeared in the last few days, claimed my garden as its territory, and has been singing loudly to inform everyone of this! Especially in the mornings - I love waking up to it and listening while I’m getting ready for work 🥰
Oh wow that would be dedication!!
I’m too much of a completionist to ever stop!
And I’m reminded just HOW GOOD E.R. was. I swear the first series-ish of E.R. is some of the best TV ever made. And it still stands up 30 years later!
The answer was obvious: now re-watch E.R. from the very beginning, all the way through.
During lockdowny times I started watching Grey’s Anatomy from the beginning and I have finally caught up to it and watched every episode made so far (it’s on its 21st series!). What to do with myself next?
A Grey Heron stands perfectly still, its long neck stretched tall and beak pointed forward, eyes wide and unblinking. Its sleek grey feathers and sharp stare give off an air of quiet determination...or perhaps silent desperation? With an expression that screams, "If I don’t move, maybe no one will ask me to do anything," it perfectly captures that classic Monday mood.
Monday mood: This Heron standing very still, hoping no one asks it to do anything today.

They also had a gose on, but I knew I’d had it before AND have a can of it in my fridge at home. I also skipped their session IPA as I’d had it multiple times before. But I did buy two takeaway cans and a branded glass to take home 😌
And finally one oatmeal stout, one imperial stout.
Two IPAs, one DIPA, and a frankly over-generous helping of dry roasted peanuts!
Started with two pales and a Bohem Czech style lager.
I was at Gravity Well today. I am a long time appreciator of their beers, but it was my first visit to the taproom. The arch was a little chilly but there were enough good beers to keep me going all afternoon!
I would physically struggle to travel through Euston and not get a cheeky half in Euston Tap. It makes Euston worthwhile.
The best beer glasses.
Can confirm it has definitely been a settling in and drinking my way through the list kind of a day!
Sounds heavenly. For me today it might be more like a chilly railway arch taproom than a cosy pub but I do have a good book with me!
The great Saturday dilemma of whether to do a crawl of different beer venues or just pick great one with a good selection and settle in for the afternoon.
A mezcal & manzanilla at Forza Wine, at the National Theatre.
I don’t ONLY drink beers 😌
Pult is brilliant!
I was in The Harp in Covent Garden on Saturday and noticed it had a good looking cider range. Extremely central, so could be handy for you!
The Old Ale was also tasting amazing!
Front of The Royal Oak pub in Borough. It’s night time.
Final stop of the cask crawl was The Royal Oak, which is one of my favourites. I had Sussex Best here because why deviate from a classic!
A pint of Timothy Taylor’s Landlord on the bar, in front of the hand pull for it.
Obviously I had to have a pint of Landlord. It was as well kept and served as it promised to be!
Front of The Kings Arms, near London Bridge/Borough. It’s night time.
Then we went down to London Bridge and we tried out The King’s Arms. Oddly I’d never been to this one and didn’t even know it was there!
