People will pretend this is for trans people, when in reality they're so riddled with their own transphobia (sometimes internalised) that they can't stop projecting it on constantly on others. (And nothing screams trans positive than expecting creations to fit into a tiny transmed box! /s)

Dear Shabana, I notice today that you referred to me in your speech on immigration at the IPPR think tank. You said: “A party leader should not be on the beaches of France encouraging people to make a perilous crossing on small boats.” I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised especially after the hateful Labour campaign in Gorton and Denton, but this is just the latest in a string of lies peddled by a discredited Government who intentionally fan the flames of racism and division. When I went to Calais, I was not there to encourage people to travel to the UK. I was there to see at first hand the suffering your Government and successive Governments have done in demonising migrants in a pathetic bid to pander to the base instincts of Reform and the flawed strategy of Morgan McSweeney. As you will know, if you even bothered to research my visit instead of taking Reform talking points, I was there to witness the brutality of families living in tents in freezing temperatures. I filled water tanks and picked up litter. What that visit did do is confirm my belief that if we are to smash the boat gangs and stop the boats, we need to offer safer and managed routes for migrants to come to this country. Showing compassion as a politician is not a crime. In fact, we need to see much more of it. It reminded me of a young MP who in October 2015 spent three days in Lesbos helping migrants fleeing war-torn Syria. She posted videos on X, talked about handing out water and croissants to refugees and food parcels. When she returned to the UK, she wrote a very moving piece in the New Statesman. She said “we have to work with our European partners and create new, safe, and legal routes for refugees to get to Europe. We cannot abandon them to their fate, left as prey for smugglers whilst risking death on the seas.” She said “maybe we can make ourselves feel better by saying no-one is making them get on the boats. Totally get it! You're fine, header names with a fancy Victorian font meanwhile are not lol.

I'd see a lot of people saying it's weird and there is, "No reason" for someone who's older to be friends with someone half their age. Like, I promise you my friendships with people 50+ are completely normal and fine. Hell we usually became friends before I knew their age.

God yeah I agree. I totally respect trans folks who do like to draw attention to it a lot more, but for me I'm just here to chill haha. I also just have everything figured out and settled with being queer so I don't feel the need to talk about it in that way.

Yours is okay! The extra f might get pronounced a bit weird but it's not as notable. Screen readers can handle that these days if it's not too many. Copied and pasted fonts are a problem meanwhile because screen readers can't even read out the letters, it's like a mess of code or something instead.

I thought it was going to be more tantamount to something like ACNH, so this was exciting to learn! Essentially a big element is you attract new Pokémon via building certain things for them, like you used to do with the Piñatas. 💙

Here's my routine reminder that you should avoid using copied and pasted 'special' fonts for your name/bio over a social media's default! Screen readers have a nightmare-ish time with these, plus they're usually not dyslexic friendly. Aesthetic should never come before accessibility.

But yeah, even just having a hobby online can really get you meeting a lot of different people whom you can learn from. Some think they won't get on with a fellow artist who is much older/younger for instance, but they'll usually be pleasantly surprised.

Yes I agree! I make most of my friends through shared interests than anything else. A medical professional was suggesting I join a local queer club and I didn't know how to explain that, not only am I housebound, I can't just befriend people because they're also queer lol. I need more than that!

Pokopia only vaguely held my interest so I didn't preorder or anything, I'm just not much of a cosy gamer, but hearing reviewers and others bring up similarities to Viva Piñata definitely has me considering a secondhand copy in a couple of months. It sounds a lot more up my alley than anticipated!

Even online this kind of thinking is strange to me. Because I'm predominantly housebound and only leave the house for medical appointments, I do have to rely on being online for community. But because I'm mindful of usage I have plenty of older companions I have common ground with?
