Yes I relate! So many of us don't have a trans local community and/or needed the Internet to realise. Like, good for the people who are lucky enough to find all the connection they need in person lol, but it's sooo common for queer people to discover themselves through others.
This is a fundraiser from a very trusted grassroots network in Lebanon working on shelter, food and medicine aid. I know A LOT of people who are organizing with them rn. Please help them reach their goal and beyond.

The superiority on being online less, as I mentioned in that initial thread, just fails to see other perspectives. There are many in regards to this! And yes, I do think being mindful about *how* we use social media is good for us, but being online is incredibly enriching for many who need it.
Just wanted to clarify with this; I actually have a very supportive family with being trans, and my sibling is also. I meant that I would have no other trans people to talk to nor be able to find their stories and understand my own, which is common for queer folksโand even more so when housebound.
I'm so glad others were able to help you out of such an awful situation. That is real family and I'm glad you're here. ๐
And in fact; I'm one of those that would be dead without social media. Either because zero community and trans support would have greatly deepened my chronic suicidal ideation (which has finally eased), or because untreated dangerous physical health would have killed me.
I would love to engage with in person communities, but I simply can't. Maybe if most people didn't pretend COVID is no longer a threat, and someone helped me move into a property that's wheelchair accessible, sure I'd be able to a bit! Though people just want to feel superior they're online less.
I was born disabled and social media finally let me be less isolated. In a number of cases, people would literally die without online mutual aid.
If you judge people being 'chronically online', why aren't you masking? Or helping people's physical needs? Chaperoning vulnerable queer folks?

The image is an original illustration of a flower involved in my novel. The text reads as: Atelier Apricity. Codex Euthymios. Lunares Lux; Lunar Blossom. The 'scribbling' and runes on the illustration reads as such: The Flower That Which Hope Rests A flower native to the Boreal Prominence, Maystrom. It is known to bloom only in the darkest of nights. A symbol of hope for the people of Telanier โ Dionne Archiviste The flower has been long inspired by the Queen of the Night.

People will pretend this is for trans people, when in reality they're so riddled with their own transphobia (sometimes internalised) that they can't stop projecting it on constantly on others. (And nothing screams trans positive than expecting creations to fit into a tiny transmed box! /s)
I love the contrast of detail and these silhouettes!

And if one physically can't because of disability, lots of people are open for trades of skills! If there is something you can do that they can't very well, you can do that in return.
Almost halfway! Can you be the one who gets us there?
Don't forget too, you won't be charged until the Kickstarter ends in April!
A graphic with a bold green background and gold design details. Text at the top says "Merch highlight: Ray." Shown are two different bookmark designs. The one on the left has a trans woman putting on her makeup, wearing old flapper attire including a red dress and short hair with a headband and feather. The mirror she looks into is golden with intricate details. On the right, two Chinese women in elegant hanfu dresses embrace with their faces close, both with large pink flowers in their hair. One has a red shawl that swirls toward the floor before rising up again, framing the top of them as well.

OCs, Anja and Mar Digital artwork of two nude women having an intimate moment on a dark background. The pink-haired woman on the left sits leaning back on her palms, head tilted back and eyes closed. Golden horns protrude from her hair like a crown, and a second pair of skeletal arms grips the other woman's wrist. The blue-haired woman, with tentacle tattoos fown her body, luminous, prismatic "wings" like a lionfish's fins and quills veined with creeping darkness like an infection, and a halo of drifting anglerfish lights, kneels between her legs and leans forward to slowly kiss the hollow of her throat, her hair streaming behind and above her as if underwater. Shimmering rainbow lights play over their skin.

Dear Shabana, I notice today that you referred to me in your speech on immigration at the IPPR think tank. You said: โA party leader should not be on the beaches of France encouraging people to make a perilous crossing on small boats.โ I suppose I shouldnโt be surprised especially after the hateful Labour campaign in Gorton and Denton, but this is just the latest in a string of lies peddled by a discredited Government who intentionally fan the flames of racism and division. When I went to Calais, I was not there to encourage people to travel to the UK. I was there to see at first hand the suffering your Government and successive Governments have done in demonising migrants in a pathetic bid to pander to the base instincts of Reform and the flawed strategy of Morgan McSweeney. As you will know, if you even bothered to research my visit instead of taking Reform talking points, I was there to witness the brutality of families living in tents in freezing temperatures. I filled water tanks and picked up litter. What that visit did do is confirm my belief that if we are to smash the boat gangs and stop the boats, we need to offer safer and managed routes for migrants to come to this country. Showing compassion as a politician is not a crime. In fact, we need to see much more of it. It reminded me of a young MP who in October 2015 spent three days in Lesbos helping migrants fleeing war-torn Syria. She posted videos on X, talked about handing out water and croissants to refugees and food parcels. When she returned to the UK, she wrote a very moving piece in the New Statesman. She said โwe have to work with our European partners and create new, safe, and legal routes for refugees to get to Europe. We cannot abandon them to their fate, left as prey for smugglers whilst risking death on the seas.โ She said โmaybe we can make ourselves feel better by saying no-one is making them get on the boats. And again, the Home Secretary is not entirely wrong when โฆ
Dear Shabana,
Let's clear some things up around migration and remember we're talking about people's lives.
Totally get it! You're fine, header names with a fancy Victorian font meanwhile are not lol.
I'd see a lot of people saying it's weird and there is, "No reason" for someone who's older to be friends with someone half their age. Like, I promise you my friendships with people 50+ are completely normal and fine. Hell we usually became friends before I knew their age.
God yeah I agree. I totally respect trans folks who do like to draw attention to it a lot more, but for me I'm just here to chill haha. I also just have everything figured out and settled with being queer so I don't feel the need to talk about it in that way.
And god literally, even before this-
I'm really glad folks are enjoying it!
Yours is okay! The extra f might get pronounced a bit weird but it's not as notable. Screen readers can handle that these days if it's not too many. Copied and pasted fonts are a problem meanwhile because screen readers can't even read out the letters, it's like a mess of code or something instead.
I thought it was going to be more tantamount to something like ACNH, so this was exciting to learn! Essentially a big element is you attract new Pokรฉmon via building certain things for them, like you used to do with the Piรฑatas. ๐
