Interesting things while watching my firehose view, the net.mmatt.vitals.car lexicon, @brookie.blog seems to update their profile a lot (something automated maybe), lots of excitement for @npmx.dev (well deserved), and lots of bsky likes flying around.

Put Linux Mint on my old MacBook Air. Runs so much better then it had been. Only issue so far was getting the wifi running, had to use the installer USB to add the drivers after the install.

Maybe I'll see how it does with Arch and be like "hello fellow kids"... or is that NixOS these days?

Exactly, cuts down the view to just people I'm following and then renders what they are up to.

Ohh I'll check it out! Right now it's just reading the firehouse and spitting out the data roughly "rendered".

17 so far (mostly bsky.app, teal.fm, standard.site, one from wisp), I started messing with it after someone posted about a similar concept around using LLMs to auto generate views based on the lexicon. Haven't gotten to that part yet but might see what I can do.

Been playing around with a view created from the firehose which is just whatever the people I follow are getting up to. Rendering whatever atproto record comes across the wire.

Finally checking out /read on @pckt.blog seems neat, though what's the difference between All and Local. I'm not signed in or anything yet, where does Local come from? Also side note, sometimes I get a 502 returned from Cloudflare on the All feed.
