Nothing beats a Wheatear, especially a showy one.
This male Desert Wheatear was coming within 4 meters of me, I had to back off to get some videos through the scope!

It’s that time of year again when you get to see your β€œfirsts of the spring”.
This Isabelline Wheatear was busy feeding next to the beach at Kourio. Despite being the most nondescript of the wheatears, there’s something charismatic about them! #cyprusbirds

One of my favourite sounds of spring, the song of a Barn Swallow! Fresh in over the last few days and not wasting anytime. All 10 birds present were male and are already getting ready for another season.
Volume up to hear them competing with the strong winds today
