I saw someone doing recorded continuity for U&Dave only a couple of years ago and it still said, I kid you not, "UKG2" in the header of the script.

Our Partners

I can't see who it would be if not ITV though. ITV is listed as the only broadcast partner, so surely they were providing the feed.

Maybe the "BRIT Awards production" or whatever the end slate said is what they've renamed Anglia Television these days ๐Ÿ˜

The end board said "ยฉ 2026 BRIT Awards Ltd" and then a slate for an in house BRIT Award production company - there wasn't even an 'executive producer for ITV' in the credits, so it seems like they might not have been calling the shots?

Yeah I guess.

It already seems pretty crammed with ad breaks used for set changes and set ups though?

I'm also not sure ITV are producing this since it's also Live on the BRITs youtube channel without any of the ITV sound dipping, nor their DOG and graphics. They could just have a world feed?

Also young people do not watch live TV, so there isn't a clambering for companies to buy up these slots. They will buy slots on Tiktok around the Brit Awards social channel.

They've done it on Love Island (another big show) including the live final.

No ads, just trails in the show prior to it, then lot of ads at the end of the clock hour leading into Love Island.

Then a short break with just trails in the first break to cram a bigger better ad break at a key point.

My โ€œcozy gameโ€ is dwarf fortress. I too really struggle with this classification because like, what if the thing that makes me feel cozy is resolving conflict or managing supply chains?

5. Mercury. It's near Venus. But it's very very faint. You aren't seeing this without optical aid.
6. Uranus and Neptune. Never bright enough to be seen with the naked eye, you'd need a telescope and to know exactly where they are.

So not spectacular. But.

3. Venus. Very low in the west-southwest right now. Sets in a hour. You might be lucky enough to see it if you have a very clear horizon.
4. Saturn. A bit higher than Venus. Doesn't set until 7.30 from central UK. You might see this as a bright star low down if you have a clear horizon

It's looking like it might be clear, & there's been a lot of nonsense talked about a spectacular 'planet parade' here's your no nonsense guide to seeing planets this evening.

1. Earth. This one is easy.
2. Jupiter. Nearly as easy if it's clear. Look up. It's the bright thing.

I love the shining force love.

I am glad that there was no store front with "time played" tracker in the 90's because I'd hate to imagine how many times I replayed through Shining Force II.

Yes, but if the Council of Nicaea *had* been overseen by an English unitary authority with a directly-elected mayor, I reckon weโ€™d have more consistent dates for Easter. The movable feast thing plays havoc with the bin collection timetables.

What follows is the funniest use of the slo-mo alternate angle tech I've seen them use during these Olympics of one of the crew members falling

Touching the Sun Despite its familiarity, the Sun is a very different presence from the friendly yellow circle in children's paintings. Our star is a broiling mass of plasma, with its powerful magnetic fields, twisted...

For those unfamiliar with the celestial object currently visible in UK skies, here's a primer. (Short version: This is the Sun. It is massive. And hot.) www.gresham.ac.uk/watch-now/to...

Discord's new age verification rules got you down? Allow me to suggest an alternative: Internet Relay Chat Launched in 1988, IRC was created by and for computer nerds, and it won't hold your hand but it also doesn't want to see your face.

I was gonna watch that dude climb that tower on @netflix.com this AM, but I have seen socials and there are crowd mics piping in lots of whooping and hollering, and NOTHING has put me off watching something so quickly. ๐Ÿคฎ

The commentary on it also doesn't help. Needed just a radio mic on the dude.
