Anti-hate mail time: Cherie Priest's The Family Plot is one of my favorite haunted house stories of all time. It has the best reason for the people to not leave the house, too: they're salvage workers, too hungry and broke to leave without at least something.
They're making up bots to hate us? Have we arrived?
Kong, and the remake, and the re-remake all basically tell the same equally tragic and problematic story. Skull Island is so unexpected because it's a totally different story. I enjoy it a bunch.
Thank you for doing this, Arley.
I keep trying to pull a quote out of this, but I want to quote the entire thing. Read up and get wiser.
The publishing industry needs to get better. We've got to make it so.
I like that there have been so many that it wasn't until the end of this post that I knew which one you meant.
Props to Skull Island for mostly junking the toxic "savage" depictions.
Earlier generations practiced a form of doom scrolling called "channel surfing."
Thank you! I hope you'll enjoy my dragon!
Tunic and Obra Dinn are excellent. Loved my time with both. Antichamber is a great idea that, I think, wound up being a better influence than a game.
I need to get back to Spiritfarer!
Heck yes, Blue Prince.
I should probably play Torment some day.
There are good points in the other two games, but getting to know each party member in 2 was deeply memorable. I loved my squad. Grunt was my baby!
8 is so darned fun! I love knocking dudes over in the fights.
Leave the poor goddess alone!! This sounds awesome.
They say lightning never strikes the same place twice. Theyβre liars. Earth is a place and itβs been hit by lightning at least eleven times, maybe even more, I have to check.
This is what they've done.
Back atcha!
It is not on my to-watch list! I'd much sooner do a third playthrough of F.
I played soooo much FFX. Blitzball is one of my all-time favorite minigames.
I replay it every couple of years. It tickles a part of my psyche that most art can't reach.
Saints Row the Third always cracks me up! So many fun characters.
I was just playing Balatro tonight! Brilliant game.
I had to look very carefully, but I think I know why it's untitled.
Nine games that are important to me?
This is a fun meme, courtesy of my9games.com.
I could not find Dragon Quest 3 on there, which is a shame. Formative in more ways than one. There are even bits of it in how I write stories today.
FF8! I played so much of it in high school. That card game was addictive.
Tinykin is one of my favorite games you've recommended to me. It's got so much joy.
We need to fill our world with them!
