I used to hit Thornhill Broome periodically when I lived in Simi Valley and Moorpark.
I like piers — though the most famous bodysurfing is the jetty at The Wedge. But anywhere can be great.
Panorama from the Ocean Beach pier to the jetties; the sky is clear blue, and a handful of people and dogs on the sand as waves break. Main lifeguard tower is visible on one side, and in the distance portable tower 2 is visible.
A bit of new swell came in and I had a great time bodysurfing this morning at Ocean Beach. #SanDiego #Beach #panorama
i only like when these posts come out because it shines a brighter light on how even pre-ai, developers are conditioned to cut corners and make lazy mistakes under the corporate speak of ”efficiency” and “automation” which is funny because of how punk rock a lot of them think they are
Front of 1966 Batman card. Batman on left facing a huge hawklike bird creature coming in with talons out. By batman, inside bat logo reads WINGED GIANT. I'm not sure who the artist is unfortunately.
Back of same card. Has a description about Batman having to capture some huge birds created by a mad scientist. Copyright, patent info stuff in fine print.
1966 Topps Batman card I got a few years back.

Panorama of Pacific Beach with a few folks on the beach, Crystal Pier is prominent and shown in full, under a sunny sky
I had a good time at Pacific Beach today. A truly lovely day. #SanDiego #Beach #Panorama
This is an article about a topic near and dear to my heart, the fact that there are basically no archives for a lot of the important music magazines and it drives me crazy

Years ago I wrote about naive cynicism, which is the posture of being sophisticated, knowing, and worldweary often worn by those who don't actually have a firm grasp on what's going on but have surrendered to what they claim to oppose and are trying to convince others to do the same.
I traded potential blog post titles with Sara Jakša and wrote a post.

My ex swore by this. It's not my thing but I get it.
Fried potatoes are, well, fried--and a fried starch with salt, can carry or accompany almost any flavor.
i saw the interactive xkcd on hackernews and decided to make it render a real npm graph
it uses webcontainers to `npm i {pkg}`, then renders the bricks based on the dep tree scaled by disk size

Thanks for inspiring me. Two experiences came to my mind right away as I read your post.

For the March #IndieWeb blogging carnival, the topic is "Museum memories." I took a cue from @artlung.com and reflected on two different museum experiences that came to my mind this morning. It was also a fun exercise to list different museums I have visited.

You may not need that “AI” voice thing that reads your web pages aloud to users. It comes free in the browser:
• Edge’s Read Aloud (Ctrl + Shift + U),
• Firefox’s and Chrome’s reader mode text-to-speech,
• Safari’s Speech feature.
Stop adding trackers to your sites. Don’t add WCAG risk.

Your email proffer to suggest I commit fraud is unwelcome. Also, the sentence "This is a legitimate arrangement—no risk to you." is not as reassuring as you imagine.
Every time I am near that spot there I think "gosh this is a lot nicer than I think of it as being!"

We watched the 70s episode ("Fade in to Murder") of Columbo featuring William Shatner as Ward Fowler last night and I had heard before that a pencil drawing of James T. Kirk is seen in Fowler's mansion. So here he is, Captain Kirk on Columbo in all the shots where the drawing is seen. :-)
