I used to hit Thornhill Broome periodically when I lived in Simi Valley and Moorpark.
I like piers — though the most famous bodysurfing is the jetty at The Wedge. But anywhere can be great.
Panorama from the Ocean Beach pier to the jetties; the sky is clear blue, and a handful of people and dogs on the sand as waves break. Main lifeguard tower is visible on one side, and in the distance portable tower 2 is visible.

Back of same card. Has a description about Batman having to capture some huge birds created by a mad scientist. Copyright, patent info stuff in fine print.

We watched the 70s episode ("Fade in to Murder") of Columbo featuring William Shatner as Ward Fowler last night and I had heard before that a pencil drawing of James T. Kirk is seen in Fowler's mansion. So here he is, Captain Kirk on Columbo in all the shots where the drawing is seen. :-)
