That was one of the best intros by a presenter to a best sound award ever yesterday. Not sure why they usually tend to be awkward or cringy embarrassing or feel like we need to apologise for even having a category for best sound. Tarn Willers found a good balance yesterday. Well done! #efa
Photo by Pierre Lavie. Yes this is me. And I threw my Leica. It landed on the bass plate with hardly a scratch. Another Photographer grabbed it along with my phone and I was able to track him later. I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.

Fun episode! As a German growing up in Japan we had quite a few friends that were kids of US army base members. Sometimes they snuck us into a movie screening on the base. I remember standing for the anthem before every screening. A weird moment every time. I had no idea they were called BRATs 😀
