๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿšจ Operation Metro Surge is NOT over. ICE has received 4 large shipments of brand new vehicles in the past 24 hours. We urge everyone to continue to look out for their neighbors and supporting mutual aid efforts. We will not stop until ICE is OUT.

A legal observer in Cold Spring urged us to share that on 2/5, an ICE agent threatened to kill them. The agent purposely stood in front of their car and used the bogus fear of being hit to justify the threat. As the news cycle turns its eye away from MN, we will not forget.

3/3 We do not yet know what concessions Frey, Walz, or Witt have made. Our neighbors are still at risk. We do not know where agents will go next. Thatโ€™s why the Week of Action (2/25-3/1) is crucial. Stay tuned on how you can help force ICE out for good & prepare other cities.

2/3 We remain cautious & will continue to do our work - delivering mutual aid, patrolling, canvassing, training & building to another mass strike. We encourage all Minnesotans to do the same. We stand for nothing short of the abolition of ICE & end to deportations.

1/3 On 2/12, border czar Tom Homan announced a draw down of federal agents in the Twin Cities. We do not trust this announcement, & neither should anyone else. We have forced them into a partial retreat, but we are not done. We will not stop until the last whistle is blown.

Senator Omar Fateh Statement on ICE Withdrawal From Minnesota

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Senator Omar Fateh (DFL-Minneapolis) released the following statement today after Tom Homan announced the removal of ICE and Border
Patrol agents from Minnesota:

"ICE agents finally getting out of Minnesota is only the beginning of restoring the rights and livelihoods of people harmed by this invasion. Far too many Minnesotans were unlawfully detained, assaulted, harassed or imprisoned by these masked, unaccountable agents.

Far too many Minnesotans were unlawfully detained, assaulted, harassed or imprisoned by these masked, unaccountable agents.

In my district, two of us, Renee Good and Alex Pretti, were killed. Minnesota is proud of them, and of other community members for standing up to Donald Trump's police state by bearing witness to their crimes and protecting neighbors with time, donations and resources. The effect of ICE chaos in the streets, combined with missing and terrorized people on schools, hospitals and small businesses has been devastating.

Next, we need real accountability for the perpetrators and the leaders that sent them here, and help for the Minnesotans they harmed. That means honest investigations into violent crimes committed by ICE agents, passing legislation to empower Minnesotans to sue the agents and agency that wronged them, and reinvesting in communities to stabilize small businesses, household budgets and neighborhoods traumatized by this lawless invasion."

A good reminder in case you mistakenly thought Frey, Walz, and Witt were on the side of protecting immigrant neighbors. Instead, theyโ€™re bending to Trumpโ€™s will. But we will not stop until ICE is abolished ๐ŸŒน
