It's utterly mad.
These people are the opposite of terrorists.
THEY WANT PEACE.
The police know they're not terrorists.
The government knows they're not terrorists.
Yet, on the Home Secretary's orders, they're being arrested under the Terrorism Act.

BREAKING: Protestors outside Truro Cathedral in Cornwall, hold signs which say: "I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action."
Similar protests are also taking place today in London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Bristol and Derry.
The Freedom Flotilla sailing toward Gaza is not just carrying life-saving aid. It is carrying solidarity, hope and our shared humanity.

Kneecap's Mo Chara is the latest example of how terrorism arrests no longer bear any relationship whatsoever to any actual threat to the British public (and certainly not the audience at the O2 Forum in Kentish Town). Instead they've become the end product of contrived rightwing outrage
WE WON!
The Supreme Court has upheld the right to wild camp on Dartmoor. This is a huge win for access to nature.
But we're just getting started.
It was never just about Dartmoor.
Weβre fighting to extend the right to roam, swim, and sleep under the stars - across all of England.
Hereβs a drawing I did in my sketchbook of an AI data center burning. Pen and ink on paper.

The Supreme Court, most UK institutions, have been captured by the campaign of stochastic terrorism waged by the media and the fascists against our Trans comrades, now defining them out of the Equality Act, as Streeting removes what little there is of trans healthcare in this country. Social murder.
Vigil outside #Cornwall Council to remember more than 17,400 children murdered by Israeli forces in #Gaza. We spoke the names of 100s of dead children.
Last year Cornwall Council appointed the director of an Israeli-owned military equipment company to chair its Economic Forum.
The conversation this led to was whether itβs useful or not to deem self-defence βnot violentβ. Whether it benefits to say βyes, this is violent, but look at what weβre up againstβ. A conclusion was to talk about oppressor and oppressed rather than violent/ non-violent/ not violent and self defence.
Politics is spoken of as if it has no impact on our bodies, as if backs donβt bend and feet donβt bleed and stomachs donβt grumble and heads donβt spin with every decision made at the seat of power. Hunger and pain is spoken of as bad economies.

π¨ Outrage as 20 police officers break into Westminster Quaker Meeting House and arrest six. π¨
This shocking violation of a place of worship is a direct result of crackdowns on protest and dissent - freedom of speech, assembly and democracy are at risk.ποΈ

Currently reading Omar El Akkadβs book βOne Day, everyone will have always been against thisβ. Itβs everything Iβm feeling and coming to terms with.
Good to know, thanks Gregory! I think the sentiment still applies that it is creeping in, but glad to know in this case itβs filler!
After 14 years of Conservative rule, we were told that austerity was over. That was a lie.
A statement from The Independent Alliance on the Chancellor's decision to abandon those in need.
This is so disappointing. How quickly it creeps into the realms we know and love through lack of care, accountability and integrity from publishers. How artists are seemingly disposable to a hollow stand-in.
Falmouth and Cornwall folk, come watch a documentary about Dartmoor and listen to Charlotte Bill, @lewis-winks.bsky.social and I have a yap about land rights. The Poly, 2nd of April, 7.30pm.

A stand-off this morning in Falmouth between residents, police and contractors over the felling of healthy lime trees. Cornwall Council refusing to release the report as to why the trees are being felled. Postponed again due to two protesters climbing the trees after police threatened arrest.
An early start in Falmouth this morning, as I joined dozens of local residents to support them in their battle to stop the destruction of their three beloved lime trees by the philistines at Cornwall County Council & their henchmen at Devon & Cornwall Police
Cheers for being there Paul! An eventful morning with a good outcome (for now!)
Sounds like a great panel! I feature in the film as the climate activist
Yesterday was a bit of a whirlwind as I found myself in the midst of London Book Fair for the launch of the book Yussef Rafik and I worked on, How to be an Eco Explorer, as well as the imprint @moonandbirdbooks.bsky.social. Loved meeting so many people Iβve been working with for the past year!
If you're near Falmouth, there's a screening of Dartmoor Calling on the 2nd April -charting the radical history of the national park, from Syliva Sayer to modern campaigns for access and nature.
Q&A with @hollyastle.bsky.social and I included!

This isnβt allowing access to wind spaces, it is extending the rule of enclosure to those with money to pay for this access. Itβs an exclusivity model that continues to separate people from the land. Right to roam means a right to roam for all.

Massive compliment! Thank you! π

Scarcity isnβt real.
There's a reason that AI is so beloved by fascists right nowβlike fascism, it tempts us to abandon the complexity of the world for the simplicity of power, & to give up the need to do the difficult but necessary work to understand the world by allowing some authority to impose its own understanding
