I don't want to "jump on a quick call", ever.
Doesnβt everyone do this? π I prefix my commits with SQ: and hope I remember to squash before merging.
The T.() -> Unit type basically says βthis closure will be invoked as if it was Tβs methodβ, so intuitively any property declared inside main will be shadowed by the objectβs properties.
Thereβs probably a way to access it anyway, but I donβt write Kotlin that much.
Just released ASK for iOS 26, I feel bad because the system update broke score narration I had set up and I didnβt update my phone until 26.1 for obvious reasons. π
However, Iβm nearly done with Garmin integration and Iβm curious if anyone wears their Garmin watch during badminton for example?

SwiftUI Architecture - Best Practices and Principles
This video is about not overcomplicating SwiftUI with MVVM-per-screen.

Great video, thanks for sharing!
Weβre slowly able to migrate to SwiftUI at work and Iβve been a strong proponent of this type of architecture.
Exactly as the speaker said, just because itβs testable doesnβt make it better. Clean architecture is an overkill in the day of modern languages, IMO.
Doors are the natural enemy of the cat
I havenβt tried it for anything non-programming, but Git LFS might work. Though Iβm not sure how much space GitHub, for example, offers, multimedia file might be too large for that as well.
People outside tech starting to realize how quality software and typing/generating code fast are not correlated
I tried signing the petition today and after authenticating with eID and giving consent to my data (which has worked before) I got hit with an βinvalid credentialsβ error, hopefully they get it working when I try again.
For a second I thought this was Zomboid footage, even the camera animation is identical. π₯

The Apple Polishing Cloth has received an over-the-air (OTA) update and is now fully compatible with the iPhone 16E.
Had the same issue you mention in Telegram calls, though.
I donβt FaceTime much, but whenever I can I prefer to take regular calls on the Macbook because my phone causes an echo when in speaker mode. Perhaps because I lay it down often and vibrations take over, but I havenβt encountered that on the Mac yet. As a bonus it has a better mic as well it seems.
Very relatable, this applies to places of interest as well. Though sometimes I have to remind myself as well that 3 stars is the baseline and work from there.
The absolutism of only leaving 1 or 5 stars is pretty useless for others and annoying when itβs just something minor or a feature request.

The smart cow problem is the idea that a technically difficult task may only need to be solved once, by one person, for less technically-proficient group members to accomplish the task using an easily-repeatable method. The term is derived from the expression: "It only takes one smart cow to open the latch of the gate, and then all the other cows follow."

Picard management tip: Suppress your inner alarm. Be the calmest person in the room.
little fluffy white dog in a yellow jacket sits on the hardwood floor of a pub of sorts. nobody is around him. heβs staring at a roaring fire, and the light reflects off his face and ears.
Here we have just a little guy, toasty and content as he reflects on his day. 13/10 would try my best not to disturb him
But he died so young.
I was hesitant to release the workout tracking since itβs pretty complex and definitely contains bugs, but since itβs free Iβm not so perfectionistic.
