there is no emotion quite like a person in a mmo jumping up and down

maybe part of that last part though is just finding a space / parties that are more vanilla friendly though 🤔 bc i dont think its wrong to play with mods it just sucks to be out of the loop

i'm still relatively new to interacting w the ffxiv space so maybe it'll just take time to find a spot for me

i think sending a tell though is def the best bet on working things out, i'm just shy LOL but i'll get past it

i do hope people still enjoy having their characters drawn, in my experience nobody has been mean to me if i draw their vanilla model, so maybe im just anxious + being a perfectionist o7

i agree! i definitely dont think the expectation should be there, and honestly im not sure how many people do expect everyone to be in the shell, but it can definitely feel like the expectation is there sometimes (mostly if the overwhelming majority of folks are in it + doing stuff w mods there) T_T

i'm glad to hear!! thankfully i havent run into anyone thats been mean about me drawing their characters vanilla model, but it does make me happy to hear it's still appreciated :D

also just to be clear, im not anti modding!!! idgaf what people do with the game and their characters, its just something i havent done 🤷‍♂️

rly i am just wanting to see if ppls perspectives on this bc i dont have many ffxiv friends, and none that mod, so i dont have perspective of that side of things

it feels a bit difficult to attend art parties to me at least because i hate feeling like im going to draw someones character wrong (bc you dont know if the model you are seeing in vanilla is how the person sees their character)

im very particular about drawing ppls characters right in general tho

idk how many #ffxiv ppl (that attend art parties specifically) follow me or will see this but i am curious about something

i am a vanilla ffxiv player and i am genuinely curious how ppl who do use character mods feel about getting art of their vanilla model 🤔 (since i cant see their modded model)
